LET THE GAMES BEGIN! Prepare to MAKE YOUR MARK on STAGE and on SCREEN through a vigorous acting curriculum that pushes individual bounds of imagination, creative expression and storytelling. This week-long camp offers students a crazy variety of proven drama exercises and fast-paced improvisational games that hone acting, interaction and character development skills. As students rehearse and perform age-appropriate skits and scenes (on and off camera) daily activities will be structured to challenge campers with a more intense level of skill training on each succeeding day. At the end of camp week, students will share their hard-won achievements with their peers. Lunch each day will include students sharing and journaling about their progress. (Bring a cold lunch and drink of choice. Bottled water will be provided.) The LET THE GAMES BEGIN Camp is led by seasoned television and film actors/acting coaches, Jeff Fenter and Sharon Garrison.

Sharon Garrison Bio:

A proud member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity Association for over 30 years, Sharon Garrison is an actor/director, coach and producer based in Dallas. She holds two degrees from Texas Christian University: a BFA in Theatre/Television and a MS in Media Studies. A certified drama teacher in the state of Texas, Sharon has for many years served on the DFW SAG-AFTRA Local Board and chairs their ProACT Conservatory committee. Having appeared in dozens of regional theater productions over her long career, she now focuses on the film and television industry. Sharon feels blessed to have landed recurring roles in two television series being shot in the southeast, including the NBC series, Game of Silence and four years as Judge Amelia Sanders on the popular Lifetime TV series, Drop Dead Diva. She also appeared in the 2017 seasons on TNT’s Claws and the AMC series, Preacher. Recent films include Bomb City, A Very Sordid Wedding, Midnight Special and Pitch Perfect 2. Sharon is a much sought after acting coach and audition videographer and attributes her success in the industry to nurturing and maintaining awesome relationships with her regional agents and casting directors throughout the country. As a producer, Sharon has accumulated a respectable resume of award-winning and recognized short films, as well as a feature film and a TV series pilot in development. Her motto has continued to be: “Create your own work, whenever you have the opportunity. That way you KNOW you will be cast!” She looks forward to a bright future for her production company, Velvet Ribbon Entertainment, that she steers alongside husband, Bill Mervis.
